Penketh New Build
We have now formed our own company PENKETH CO LTD
Gas, electricity water in the chapel are being turned off ASAP.
Meetings have been held with Nigel Bacon of the Central Voluntary Services (CVS) and Kim Bate of Warrington Borough Council (WBC)
Progress is being made on demolition which we hope to be in the next few weeks.
It is hoped to have the bat license in the next three weeks. We have had bats at some point in the church history and now need to ensure we do disturb any that may still be around. New bat boxes are being placed on the new building too.
People have been notified about property they have in church to reclaim.
Rooms have been cleared in the School Rooms to get ready for the move. The School Rooms is a detached, old school that belongs to the church. This will be sold to help fund the new building.
The Executive Committee (managing the project) have all taken different roles alongside David Jordon (Project Coordinator/Fundraiser) and working on them.
Schedule 1 for sale of the school has been signed by the Partnership Council (governing body of the church) and the Circuit Council (governing body of the Warrington Methodist Circuit, which Hood Manor and Penketh are part of).
