New Community Building
Whilst major building work has taken place at both premises, work continues to support other charities and causes, whilst gaining funding for the individual work of these two churches.
Penketh
The people of Penketh on the other hand made a decision to commit to a new building on its existing car park. The current church, and separate school rooms, have suffered wear and tear over the many years of their existence. Like so many other buildings of that era the church has become inappropriate for modern times. Its foundations are weak, the sheer weight of its roof and its crumbling brickwork were all factors in the decision to build a new building.  It was pulled down in 2009.

The new, recently approved, centre of excellence will provide a main facility to seat 250 people in a room which will provide an excellent conference centre, but double up as a place of worship each week. This plus the multiple rooms and hall, all built to an excellent standard will ensure this building will meet its community's needs throughout the 21st Century.

The cost of the new build is estimated at c. £1,000,000 exc professional fees, where approximately £500,000 (some spent on fees) have already been raised by its own members, showing a commitment and enthusiasm apparent in both sites of the West Warrington Partnership.
Hood Manor
Hood Manor's building is a multi-purpose facility based around a main room, with toliets, kitchen and sub-rooms off to one-side. It has recently undergone a major refurbishment bringing the facility to an excellent standard and establishing it as one of the key facilities in its neighbourhood. Partly this was due to simple modernisation, but the main thrust of the changes were to add new facilities for all people who visit, irrespective of their ability.
